Success for Brand New Employment Initiative in Wolverhampton

Last year, The City of Wolverhampton Council and Yoo Recruit set up a pilot employability programme that aimed to provide vital skills, training and support for Wolverhampton residents to secure employment.

The training was also delivered in partnership with City of Wolverhampton College, City of Wolverhampton Council, Access to Business and Job Change.

15 unemployed residents took part and completed the programme and were proudly presented with certificates by Councillor John Reynolds, a Cabinet Member for City Economy.

With the success of this brand new employment initiative, the scheme has been extended and the programme is looking for brand new recruits.

New Year, New Yoo!

Some of the Yoo Recruit vacancies now available for the trainees to apply for include customer attendants, market attendants, home to school passenger escorts, cleaning assistants and catering assistants. Could this be you?

Peter Holmes, Yoo Recruit Recruitment Manager, added: “We are delighted to have been involved in this initiative and support local unemployed residents to develop the right skills and get the training needed for Yoo Recruit vacancies.”

The next programme will begin next month and anyone interested should contact either Karen Sahota on 07881 358679 or Manjit Cheema on 07717 733051, or email or
