Sport Structures are recruiting participants for ‘COACHING COMMUNITIES’ programme beginning on the 23rd January in SANDWELL for people who are aged 25 and over who are currently unemployed or economically inactive in the Black Country.
The programme is split into 4 elements;
- Minimum coaching standards workshops – First Aid, Safeguarding and Equity in your Coaching
- Level 1 Principles of Coaching qualification
- Valuable volunteering experience to put into practice everything they have learnt from the workshops and the coaching qualification
- Employability workshops to ensure they can put to use the new skills and knowledge to continue volunteering, progress onto training or move into employment
If you are 25+, unemployed or economically inactive, you are able to take part in the National Award winning Coaching Communities programme.
This is an exciting programme and over the years, Sport Structures have had great success of individuals building their confidence and developing their soft skills to progress into further training or employment whilst also coaching in their local communities.
The programme is completely free and will not affect your benefits. They will also get a free DBS check and travel expenses to the voluntary placement which is undertaken after all qualifications have been attended. The voluntary placement is a minimum of 20 hours in a local sports club or school which we help them find.
